Oh man, has the quilting community been awesome to me lately. Today the Poppstrong quilt is featured on the Craftsy blog in a post called Bold Quilt Designs. It made my week. It’s uplifting to get such positive feedback to my work. Like, I think I feel taller.
This week I’ve been sewing like crazy, making a new top-secret quilt and also preparing the boys for pirate day at camp.
I made them some Lotta Jansdotter headscarves and maps from the Michael Miller Sarah Jane pirate fabric collection. Arrgggh.
Camp! It gives me that extra bit of time for sewing, designing, teaching and preparing for NJMQG activities. I’m also hoping as we head into the fall and school, to post more tutorials and write some patterns.
And so I took the leap and finally bought melintheattic.com! You can still use the WordPress address, but it’s so much easier to pass along the direct URL.
Until I have more to show, check out this slightly fuzzy camera phone shot of the pigeon quilts (here’s Miles’s and Eli’s) getting lots of love:
Ooooo, I love the top-secret projects. The suspense! (Seriously)
