Quilts:

The fabulous Molli Sparkles has a must-read post up today: No Value Does Not Equal Free. The quilt has an ingenious concept– show the true value of a hand-made quilt. There’s a great discussion in the comments afterward about his calculations and everyone’s interpretation of it. If you have ever made a quilt, or thought about buying one, it’s a good read.

Kids:

My older son has never been an enthusiastic artist, but we’ve been trying to turn his love of sea creatures into drawing time. I’m so proud of his picture, which is a colossal squid and two sperm whales. The orange fish is a guppy. The blue one is an x-ray fish. Proud mama right here.

Rock n roll:

I know I’ve posted one HAIM song already, but my husband is coming home momentarily from a week out of town for work and this one makes me think of him.
