My week so far
I haven’t had much time (or subject matter) for blog posts this week, but I wanted to pop up and say hello. The Beginning Quilting class I’m teaching next week at Rock Paper Scissors has just one or two spots left for anyone who may have been interested. Click here— class starts Monday April 29!
The reason I’ve been a little preoccupied is because my husband has been on a business trip to Tokyo since Saturday. Thankfully, wifi lets us catch up on FaceTime. It also lets the kids see what the other side of the world looks like.
Not too different from a city here, but it’s so oddly fun to see that it’s dark somewhere in the world when we’ve just had breakfast. I love the hazy colors of the lights.
In quilting progress, I finished binding my commission with a zigzag stitch and navy and white chevron print (just like Miles’s quilt)
Which means I’ve had a chance to make some serious progress on a new baby quilt. I’m going to wait to show you until it’s all finished, though I’m taking pictures throughout the process. (Related: Do you prefer works in progress or a finished reveal?)
Provided my sitters are still available tomorrow night, I’m looking forward to Modern Quilt Guild. I’ve been working on a nametag for a fellow member and can’t wait for her to see it. I even ventured over to the “rock” side of RPS to make it extra special.
So I have a lot of quilty action going on, but sadly nothing I can show just yet. Thanks for hanging in. For your trouble, some springy eye candy:
