Curves and straightaways
I’ve been doing so much piecing lately that it felt really good to make progress quilting my gold and gray circle quilt.
To recap a bit, I’ve been FMQing swirls in the circles.
And I decided to quilt the space around them with straight lines about 1/2″ apart. They made these amazing little grids at the intersections:
Here’s where I stand. I’m really pleased with how it’s turning out.
I’m hoping for a finish this week. I feel the pull…
It looks great! That quilting really compliments the quilt layout.
Perfect quilting! Love it!! Make me one please?
So inspiring! The quilting looks fabulous. You should be proud! I was just thinking about buying that AMH Field Study print in Saffron. Seeing it in your quilt just sealed the deal.
Beautiful! Love the colors!!!
Lovely quilting, it’s looking very, very good. Friday finish!
Thank you so much Renee! I’m really into dense parallel lines, but they’re so time consuming!

Oh, man if only those damn circles weren’t so time consuming! Now you’ve got me thinking…

Yes! I love that print. I bought the last of the Saffron, so I just bought a bunch of the purpley one. I am overdue for an AMH explosion quilt.
