WIP Wednesday 11.13.13
I have three works in progress at the moment.
The first is my messenger bag, my first bag, for which I’m taking a class:
I think my next one of these will be scrappy.
Then, there’s the Garlands, as I plug away with FMQ:
And, then my latest piecing project, a quilted body pillow. I decided to make stripey blocks in gold and blue and then improvise. Here’s where they started:
And here’s what they look like today:
I need to keep going on this one before it looks right to me. But I’m going to keep playing until it looks right.
What are you working on?
Linking up with Freshly Pieced:
ooh, love the rhinos and your free pieced stripes!
I do like the improv stripes! I’ll look forward to seeing progress.
what a great stripy improvised quilt. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Love the Improv, just keep going, you are doing fantastic!
Love the body pillow blocks! Can’t wait to see more of the bag, so far it looks pretty cute.
Love the rhino print. What am I working on? Hand sewn hexies in my travel sewing. After 2 days on the road, I have about 80 done, ready to sew into flowers…
I think your body pillow is pretty awesome. Hope it all comes together for you easily:)
Those stripy improv blocks are fab…I love chopping up and changing blocks it’s such fun!
Thank you! It was a change in technique for me. So much fun.
Thank you! It was a process of trial and error, but it worked! Thanks for visiting.
80 in 2 days?!? That’s amazing. I just got some hexie templates. This will be in my future, I’m sure.

Thank you! Comments like yours helped me keep going when I was doubting that the finished product would look right. Thanks for visiting!
Thanks Melanie! I was so grateful to have commenters like you cheering me on. I’m sorry I’m late in replying. As always, thanks for your support.
Thanks! That Echino print was just crazy enough and just tame enough for me. 🙂
